Fiárock will be launching their debut album, An Tús, on Friday, January 23rd 2026 in Brú Ború, Cashel.
Fiárock, a traditional Irish band that spans both sides of the Atlantic, is set to release their anticipated debut album, An Tús, later this month. One of their launches will be at the famous Irish traditional music venue, Brú Ború in Cashel. This stunning compilation of thirteen tracks puts their vibrant energy, technical mastery, and immaculate arranging on full display.
The line-up of Fiárock spans both sides of the Atlantic, and each member brings with them the traditions and influences of their varied regions and backgrounds.
• Clíona Halley – Concertina – County Cork
• Nicolle Fig – Vocals & Bodhrán – Mexico
• Evan Powell – Piano – Texas
• Darragh Carey-Kennedy – Banjo – County Tipperary
The album (and this performance) showcases the band’s atypical instrumentation of concertina, banjo, piano and bodhrán, with both traditional and newly composed tunes, and intricate arrangements throughout. Sets often leap from one tune type to another, and melodies flow fluidly from instrument to instrument, all the while supported by rich harmonies and an air-tight rhythm. There is also a wonderful balance between instrumental sets and songs, with Irish, English, and Mexican folk songs led by the stunning voice of Nicolle Fig.
The launch concert will start at 8pm and doors will open at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased online at https://bruboru.ie/events/fiarock/ or by telephone on (062) 61122. This evening promises to be a great night of tradition and entertainment.
