Tullamore choir achieves huge success in major competition

TULLAMORE'S Academy Chamber Choir won first place out of 10 choirs at the church music competition at Cork International Choral Festival.

Following on from the Cork success, the choir took part in the National Choir of the Year 2023 at Navan Choral Festival and achieved second place.

Director Ciaran Brady said this was a “huge achievement” on the first year return of the choir since Covid.

They are also excited to feature as the opening concert in the Tullamore International Summer Organ Series on July 4 at 8pm in the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore.
