Update for Roscrea Local Area Plan

The plan is a revision of the 2012 Plan
Roscrea's 2012 Local Area Plan (LAP) has undergone a full review and a new updated replacement will be unveiled to local representatives next month.
Four towns in Tipperary County will receive new Local Area Development Plans - Roscrea, Nenagh, Thurles and Clonmel. The plans outline a blueprint for how the towns will evolve from 2024 to 2030.
The Roscrea Plan is further progressed than the other and a draft LAP for Roscrea will be presented to the nine councillors at the monthly meeting of the Thurles/Templemore/Roscrea Municipal Council next month before progressing to the public consultation stages.
A report on the submissions made in pre-draft public consultations held before Christmas will be published for each of Thurles, Nenagh and Clonmel next month.
Officials from the Planning section of Tipperary Council anticipate publishing Plans for each town for public consultation by July.
The plans for each town are being updated following the adoption of a new County Development Plan last year.
Work will then begin on new Local Area Plans for Tipperary Town, Carrick-on-Suir, Cashel and Templemore. Cahir in South Tipperary has already adopted their updated Local Area Plan.
