WATCH: Offaly pub's seventh annual Christmas ad is absolutely top class

An Offaly pub's annual Christmas ad has dropped this week and it is as brilliant as you might expect.

More short film than ad, JJ Houghs Christmas offering this year is entitled 'The Biscuit Tin'.

It tells the tale of a struggling publican who unwittingly gifts his entire life savings to a customer. The customer in turn re-gifts it before the tin travels the world as everyone who receives it gives it away!

The themes explored are learning to appreciate the simple things in life and the current energy crisis.

Keep an eye out for some local talent including Jared Madden, Denis Hickey and cameos some of Offaly's finest exports Michael Hough, Sam Keeley and Angus Cloud.

Music is by Dave Desmond and Ultan Conlon and it was shot and edited by Alan Rogers. It was written and directed by Gerald Hough.
