WATCH: Shane Lowry aims dig at GAA neighbours in hilarious pub sing-song

Shane Lowry celebrated his Amgen Irish Open 2026 in typical style, with a can of Bulmers in his hand singing GAA songs in a local pub.
The Offaly man is seen in a social media video arriving at Jim Daly's Bar in Rineroe, Clare as the crowd sing “There’s only one Shane Lowry...”.
However, the Clara man quickly shushes the crowd and starts up “Oh you’ll never see a Sam in Mullingar...”
The song is a reference to Westmeath having never won an All-Ireland football title.
Fianna Fail MEP Barry Cowen shared the video on social media saying: “This is gas ! All in good fun, Westmeath folk, we promise! You can’t beat a bit of Offaly - Westmeath slagging. Sure, they’d miss us if we weren’t next door !”
The Lowry family GAA ties run deep with Shane’s dad Brendan lining out for Offaly in the 1982 All-Ireland final along with his brothers Sean and Mick.
Brendan missed Shane’s record breaking win in Doonbeg on Sunday as he was on duty on the sideline with Clara in the Offaly Senior Football Championship.
After Shane met his mother following his win on Sunday, his mother broke the news to him that Clara had lost by 7 points.
Ironically, Shane was born in Mullingar hospital, so it can claim rights on some major success!
