Woman pleads not guilty to alleged biting of Longford Center Parcs security guard

A woman charged with allegedly biting a security guard at Longford's Center Parcs leisure resort has indicated her intention to fully contest the charges against her.
Forty-year-old Ann Marie Roche, of Baskin Lane, Cloughran, Swords, Dublin appeared at a sitting of Longford District Court this afternoon.
Ms Roche had initially appeared last month to face two assault causing harm charges following an incident on June 10 last year.
On that occasion, Judge Bernadette Owens was told while no medical reports were at hand, the case centred on two separate bites to the thumb area and palm of a security guards left hand.
The court was told both alleged bites punctured the skin of the alleged victim.
At today's sitting of Longford District Court, defence solicitor Anthony Feeney entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client.
Asked as to how long a hearing into the case would take, Sgt Conor McShane, for the State estimated it would take in the region of two hours.
This, he said, was largely based on the fact the prosecution were expected to hear evidence from up to six witnesses.
Ms Roche was remanded on continuing bail to a sitting of Longford District Court on September 12 when, a date for hearing, is likely to be made.
