THE book of evidence was served on a man charged with violent disorder and with threatening to use unlawful violence at Tullamore District Court.

The 19 year old man is alleged to have committed the offences on September 14, 2021 when he with others threatened to use unlawful violence in a manner that any reasonable person would fear for his or another person's safety.

Gardai Stacey O'Brien served the defendant with the book of evidence. He will be sent forward for trial to the next sitting of Tullamore Circuit Court on April 18, 2023.

Sgt James O'Sullivan said he can be sent forward on a signed plea on his own bail.

Judge Andrew Cody advised the defendant if he was planning to call an alibi he must do so within 14 days of last Wednesday's sitting.

Solicitor Aisling Maloney said there would be no application for legal aid at this time. He was remanded on bail on his own bond of €100.
