Luxurious saloon car has been given several tweaks for the latest model.

Bentley has introduced a new version of its luxurious Flying Spur, featuring a more refined exterior design and a new ‘S’ variant.

The Flying Spur’s most notable change for this latest generation is the revised headlight design, which ditches Bentley’s traditional quad-light look for a twin-lamp setup instead. It makes it the first Bentley model to feature a single front headlamp since 1962.

Elsewhere, the Flying Spur now incorporates a revised boot lid with new rear lights, while fresh 22-inch wheel designs are also available.

The new Flying Spur will also be available with an ‘S’ variant, which had previously been phased out. It gets Bentley’s Performance Active Chassis as standard, while underneath, there’s a plug-in hybrid system which combines a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor and battery for an output of 671bhp and 930Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful Flying Spur model to date.

With this output, the Flying Spur S will go from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 191mph. Bentley has also incorporated a ‘new generation’ of electronic stability control system into the Flying Spur, while a full all-wheel-drive setup aims to provide a high level of traction.

The exterior of the S also benefits from a number of tweaks which help differentiate it from the regular car. Highlights include gloss black paint for the lower bumper and grilles, alongside the Bentley wings and brand lettering. The LED Matrix headlight covers are also given a black tint for a more stealthy look.

Bentley says that the new Flying Spur is available for order now, ahead of first deliveries at the end of this year.
