The Happy Pear advises consumers not to eat specific batches of hummus

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is warning consumers that a range of products, produced by The Happy Pear company, are being recalled due to health concerns.

The recall notice applies to a number of specific batches of hummus products (see below) which contain canned chickpeas as an ingredient.

The affected batches, which are sold in stores across the country, include canned chickpeas as an ingredient and those chickpeas, supplied by another company, are subject to recall due to the possible presence of animal matter.

According to the FSAI, recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale and consumers are advised not to eat the impacted products.
