Man, 49, arrested in connection with death in Kilmarnock

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man in East Ayrshire last week.

Emergency services were called to reports of an unresponsive man on Orchard Street in Kilmarnock at about 5.25pm on Tuesday, April 22.

The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said a 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.

A spokesperson said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
