Man charged after collision involving a vehicle and a police officer

A man has been charged following a collision involving a vehicle and a police officer.

The incident happened at about 3.55pm on Tuesday May 6 on High Street in Haddington, East Lothian.

The male police officer was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment and later released.

Police said that a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of alleged offences.

He will appear in court in due course.

The road was closed for investigations following the crash and later reopened.
