Volkswagen’s Touareg Final Edition arrives priced from £72,535

Volkswagen is saying goodbye to its Touareg SUV with a high-specification Final Edition model.

Arriving priced from £72,535 – £1,990 less than the previous range-topping Black Edition – the Final Edition has been created to celebrate the Touareg’s more than 20 years on sale in the UK.

The Final Edition comes with a long list of standard equipment, including metallic paint, Varenna leather seats, a power-folding tow bar with Trailer Assist technology and 30-colour interior ambient lighting. All cars get Final Edition lettering, too, applied in areas such as the window surrounds of the rear doors, on the leather gear lever and on the sill panel mouldings. The Final Edition gets a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine as standard, though a high-performance ‘R’ version with a 3.0-litre eHybrid and 456bhp is also available for those who want more power.

Both the standard Final Edition and the high-performance ‘R’ model go on sale on December 11, ahead of factory production ending in 2027.
