Woman taken to hospital after van crashes into pedestrian

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van in Dumfries and Galloway.

Emergency personnel attended the collision on Park Lane in Stranraer at around 10.30am on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30am on Saturday, 3 January, we received a report of a crash on Park Lane in Stranraer involving a pedestrian and a van.

“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a woman, was taken to hospital.”
