Eurovision fans were emotional as two-times Irish Eurovision winner Johnny Logan sang at the first semi-final in Malmö, Sweden last night (May 7).
Logan - who is due to turn 70 years old - wowed viewers with his beautiful rendition of Loreen's now famous 2012 winning song, 'Euphoria'.
Swedish presenter Petra Meda paid tribute to Logan before his performance, calling him "the king of Eurovision".
She stated she "can't put into words" how much he meant to her as a young girl watching Eurovision at home.
RTÉ posted a video of the full performance on their X (formerly Twitter page) following Logan's performance last night.
They released it with the caption, "Johnny Logan singing Euphoria is everything we needed and more."
Social media users agreed, with one X user commenting, "Wow! Ireland is bursting with talent tonight at Eurovision. So proud!"
Another wrote, "Absolutely stunning. Beautiful, pure class from start to finish. And what a voice. Great great choice of song too, whoever decided to do this. A major European No.1 for dear Johnny perhaps?"
Another X user commented, "Should have sent him for one last go!" while a further comment reads, "This was the performance of the night in my view."
