Irish child could be the next Harry Potter as open casting call launched for remake series

Your child could be the new Harry Potter as HBO, who are behind the new Harry Potter TV show are seraching for Harry.

As well as Harry, the search for Ron Weasley and Hermione Grange has also begun.

Children ages 9 to 11 in April 2025 and a resident of the UK or Ireland can apply for casting however the application must be submitted on behalf of a parent or a legal guardian.

Although there is no release for the new show, it is said to follow the seven Harry Potter books.

Applicants from "all backgrounds" are encouraged to apply for the roles as the production company say they are committed to "inclusive casting."
