Love/Hate's Tom Vaughan-Lawlor to star as priest in new RTÉ comedy murder mystery
Love/Hate star Tom Vaughan-Lawlor will be among the stellar Irish cast taking part in the brand new RTÉ comedy drama These Sacred Vows.
According to RTÉ, the new show is about an Irish wedding in Spain where "a week of day-drinking and chaotic nights where secret fears, jealousy and desire bubble to the surface."
The six-part series is sure to be a major hit as we're already teased that the series "opens the morning after the wedding, when the body of a priest is found floating face-down in the swimming pool of the young guests’ villa."

Over the course of the show, we jump back in time to revisit the previous wild week of each character to find out what led up to this moment.
A far-cry from Love/Hate's Nidge, this time around Tom Vaughan-Lawlor plays the priest Father Vincent.
He is joined then by Derry Girls and Smother star Justine Mitchell, Jason O'Mara from Agents of SHIELD and The Man In The High Castle, India Mullen of Normal People and Say Nothing as well as Adam John Richardson from Vikings: Valhalla and The Dry.
These Sacred Vows has started production on location in Tenerife on Monday, 7 April and will air on RTÉ in 2026.
Writer and director of the show John Butler commented: "I love the idea of six films of the same style, all set in the same place on successive days, with each of those characters experiencing the madness of an Irish wedding very differently.
"Irish weddings are unique - and uniquely mad - and can be related to by everyone because (as with vermin) you’re never too far away from the looming spectre of Someone’s Big Day."
