Irish broadcaster confirms live TV coverage of sold-out Electric Picnic festival

The broadcast will be the ultimate destination for anyone who missed out on tickets

TG4 has announced it will be providing live coverage from the sold-out Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival which takes place this coming weekend.

TG4 will be the only TV station with live coverage of the festival in Stradbally, County Laois this year after RTÉ opted against doing so for the sixth consecutive year.

'BEO ón Electric Picnic', presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc and John Sharpson will feature live music performances from artists performing on the Collchoill (Hazelwood) and Pubail Gaeilge stages. 

Aside from the acts performing across those two stages, there will be podcasts, yoga sessions, a céilí mor, comedy and all the latest from the Gaeltacht camping site.

Síomha and John will be bringing exclusive interviews with festival goers, artists and organisers to cover all bases. The programme promises to be a fascinating insight into Irish culture and tradition as part of the country's biggest music festival. 

Highlights of the broadcast will include Bláithín Mhic Cana & Piaras Ó Lorcáin, IMLÉ, John Spillane, Eve Belle, Clada, Amano, Caolan Ryan, Dysania and many more. 

The show will also include an array of feature interviews and intimate acoustic sessions with some of the biggest names playing at this year's festival with many more surprises promised as part of the coverage.

The special 90-minute broadcast will be a celebration of all that's great about Ireland's biggest music festival. TG4 will be the place to be for anyone that missed out on tickets for this years edition of the music and arts event. 

BEO ón Electric Picnic will air on TG4 on Sunday August 31 at 9:30pm.
