'One of the three of us will be murdered' - Viewers erupt after The Traitors bombshell exit

Sunday night's long-awaited instalment of The Traitors delivered yet another nail-biting episode of blackmail, Faithfuls on death row and a shock banishment.

At the end of last Tuesday's episode, the last remaining Traitor, Paudie, had chosen to blackmail his son Andrew into joining him as a Traitor after Katelyn was finally caught out. Faced with murder or joining his father by taking on the Traitor's cloak, Andrew chose to join. 

His first task in the conclave as a Traitor was to pick four players who were to be placed on death row. He chose Joanna, Mark, Patrick and Christine.

When all four didn't show up to breakfast, the show's host Siobhán revealed they had to be saved by the contestants. Only one, however, could be given a shield from that night's murder. Players chose to give it to Christine, meaning just Joanna, Mark and Patrick are on the chopping block for Monday night.

The death row inmates did start to turn on each other while locked in the metal container in Slane, with Joanna saying she expected she was locked up with Traitors. Christine also said she expected her fellow death row inmate Patrick of putting himself in there.

As the suspicions and accusations started to bubble up once again, the Round Table saw the newest Traitor Andrew thrown into the deep-end as the Faithfuls believed he was an ideal target for blackmail. However, people were torn and it ended up in a tie with seven players voting for Andrew and seven voting for Patrick.

After the tense second vote to break the tie, Andrew was eventually banished after less than 24 hours of being a Traitor. He told his fellow contestants: "You are on a roll, I am a Traitor."

As the Faithfuls caught their third Traitor for the third night in a row, Paudie struggled with the exit of his son, saying: "I had to celebrate and go around doing high-fives, it was very, very difficult."

Now in Monday night's episode, Paudie must decide on yet another Faithful to join him as a Traitor and murder either Joanna, Mark or Patrick who were not given the shield from death row.

People on social media have been lapping up the antics of Sunday night's episode, with one person saying: "Brilliant telly! Sad to see Andrew go but it just would not have worked father and son together."

On Andrew's banishment, another agreed: "Oh I'm sickened!!!! Really wanted Andrew to stay."

Lots of people are also saying they want to see an end to Nick and Ben's alliance, and what better way to do it than to recruit one of them!

One person wrote online: "Think Paudie should recruit Ben. I think Nick is too obvious and I'd like to see the Ben/Nick axis broken because I think the two of them are getting a bit cocky."

Another agreed: "I think Paudie should recruit Ben."

People have also pointed out that Oyin has spotted all of the Traitors so far, including Andrew, with one person saying: "Give the money to Oyin at this rate she is absolutely brilliant!"
