A mum-of-two who said her face “looked sad all the time” is now told she looks “20 years younger” after having the rumoured Kris Jenner facelift.

Krista Alise, 52, from Florida, USA, had a deep plane facelift from a renowned surgeon in Mexico after feeling as though she did not recognise herself anymore.

When she saw Kris Jenner’s rumoured facelift pictures, Krista said Kris’s skin appears “much tighter”, she has more pronounced cheekbones and she generally looks more “refreshed”.

After seeing success stories from other women on TikTok, she was inspired to research her options and travelled to Tijuana for the transformative facelift in February 2025, which she said cost 14,000 US dollars (£10,300), including some additional procedures.

Despite a challenging recovery, where she described looking like she had “been hit by a bus”, Krista expressed no regrets about her decision.

“I wasn’t super unhappy before, but I just looked sad all the time and people were always asking, ‘Are you tired?’,” Krista told PA Real Life.

“You have this skin that’s dropping where gravity is pulling it down, and I just didn’t recognise myself anymore.

“The first few days following the surgery brought considerable swelling and discomfort. I looked like I had fallen off a bus and been hit by another bus – I looked horrible.

“But now I don’t feel disgust when I look in the mirror anymore and makeup goes on like a dream.”

Krista’s journey started seven years ago with the sole aim of having a necklift to reduce sagging skin.

“A lot of women say the same thing, that they are tired of their saggy neck. It’s almost like this betrayal of our bodies,” she said.

The estate agent said she researched her options and contacted various surgeons worldwide, from the Czech Republic to Costa Rica.

However, she said she was often met with scepticism, with surgeons advising that she would not be happy with a necklift alone and recommending a full facelift.

This year, Krista finally decided to take the leap, inspired by TikTok videos featuring women who had undergone a deep plane facelift – the same procedure apparently chosen by Kris Jenner.

A deep plane facelift works with deeper layers of tissue than a typical facelift, reportedly leading to more long-lasting results.

“Surgeons will show you before and after photos, but it’s more reassuring to see a woman on a video, moving her face and sharing her genuine experience,” she said.

One woman on TikTok connected Krista with a certified, English-speaking surgeon in Tijuana, who recommended a deep plane facelift and necklift, along with other procedures including a browlift, liplift and eyelid surgery.

On February 4 2025, she had the procedures, followed by a week at a recovery centre with round-the-clock care.

She said her total costs, including the facelift and other procedures, return flights, a pre-surgery hotel stay and recovery centre, was 15,700 US dollars (£11,550).

“I have read that this was the procedure Kris Jenner was rumoured to have, but she probably didn’t go to Mexico though,” Krista said.

“It isn’t just a simple lift. They’re reattaching muscle and laying the skin back down.

“In the US, this price would have got me just the browlift.

“Not only did it cost less, but the care was excellent, and the nurses were so incredibly passionate.

“They served me fresh fruit juices and soups, and nurses came in every four hours to give me antibiotics, eye drops and check my bandages.”

Krista described her first week of recovery as “tumultuous”, saying she had a bruised face and she struggled with her vision due to the eye gel she needed to use, as though she was “looking through Vaseline”.

But as the healing process progressed, she felt great about her fresh look with “the things (she) wanted to correct, corrected”.

She said her husband, 49, and son, 21, seemed unphased by the facelift, while her daughter, 19, took some time to get used to her mum “no longer looking like mum”.

But overall, Krista feels she still looks like herself and is happy with the result.

“Most people’s goal is not to look like their 20-year-old self, but rather to look the same, just fresher,” she said.

“It’s such a strange and personal thing. It’s your face, it’s the thing you’ve been looking at your entire life, and there is a sense of identity there.”

Followers on Krista’s TikTok page, @floridaover50, have commented how they cannot believe Krista is the same person, with one saying she looks “20 years younger”.

“Now I feel great,” Krista said.

“Recently I went to a conference and a woman who had known me for years walked straight past me without a clue who I was.

“Another said I look totally different.

“Of course, there are negative comments like, ‘you’re still 52, you’re not fooling anyone’, or people asking when I’m going to get movement back in my face which I don’t understand as it’s there.”

Krista said her surgeon is now fully booked until April 2026.

She would advise others to do their own thorough research beforehand, but to those considering the facelift, she said: “If you can save up and do it, why not?

“It’s becoming more and more achievable to just refresh yourself.”
