No dates are available for an NCT test in Carlow for almost seven months, it has emerged.
Dates in July 2023 are the first available appointments at the test centre in Carlow.
There is also a similar wait in neighbouring Kilkenny.
Other centres in Waterford and Portlaoise have availability in late June and early July respectively
However, counties Cavan, Louth, Kildare and Dublin fare even worse and have no availability until August.
While no tests are currently available on line at the moment, it can pay to keep checking online as some earlier appointments do seem to come up sporadically.
NCT advises if you are unable to obtain an appointment at your chosen Test Centre you may add your vehicle to a priority list via its web booking facility or call centre. NCTS say they will do their best to accommodate you with a time and date that is convenient for you.
