A WELL-known Carlow entrepreneur has officially launched her first book.

Written by Rachel Doyle, ”My Tree of Life” tells the story of how she started the Arboretum in Leighlinbridge.

A qualified horticulturist with an incredible business flair, Rachel's constant strive for innovation has impacted greatly on retail and gardening industries in Ireland.

With over 175 employees, across several locations, and thousands of customers, people are central to the success and energy of Arboretum which is regarded as a destination experience.

"This book is about how I fought hard to make that dream come true, in spite of the many obstacles I encountered along the way. My hope is that, when you read my story, you will be inspired by some of the values, decisions and ideas that have made me what I am and will, in turn, achieve some of your own ambitions, regardless of your current circumstances or background," commented Rachel.

Local radio station KCLR broadcast from a special edition of its Bottom Line business programme from the launch event.
