Revealed: 94% of Carlow town’s population will be within 800m of a bus stop

Carlow Town's new Bus Service will provide public transport with connectivity to, across and around Carlow town.

Malcolm Noonan T.D., Minister of State for Heritage & Electoral Reform has said that "94% of Carlow town’s population will be within 800m of a bus stop, and 68% will be within 400m." 

John Nott, from National Transport Authority, Town Bus Services programme has stated that there will be two new routes: CW1 and CW2. These routes will serve all corners of the town and will be integrated with the wider local link.

The service is operated by Bus Eireann alongside the Local Authority in Carlow. It will operate on a half hour frequency across an 18hr day. 

Both Leap card and cash will be accepted as a form of payment.

The official launch is set to be Sunday July 30th.
