Is the solution for speeding traffic to 'bypass' the people of  Ballon?

Is the solution for speeding traffic to 'bypass' the people of Ballon?

Serious concern about the heavy traffic and the speed of traffic occurring in Ballon village was raised at the Municipal District of Tullow meeting yesterday.

Cllr William Paton urged for action to be taken to slow down traffic in the area.

Possible solutions were mentioned, such as regular speed cameras in the area and even a bypass for the town to be constructed.

However, it was ultimately stated that this is an issue for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) as it concerns a national road.

The council agreed to write to TII to raise the issue with them.

The council ask the public to drive with care and caution.
