'Painting is one of my main passions in life' says Carlow artist who is making waves in the art community

Carlow based artist Anne Deere exhibits her new collection of work titled “The Colours of our Land & Sea” in County Waterford.

Her collection will be on display in Tramore Coastguard Cultural Centre from 6th August to 3rd September, open daily.

Originally from County Laois but living in Carlow for over 30 years, Anne has had a passion for art all her life.

When she was in school, Anne decided to take up Art for her Leaving Cert despite the fact her school didn't offer art classes. She graduated with an honors in the subject.

Anne is self-taught and enjoys working with different mediums.

She now work's in her own studio at her home in Carlow.

Speaking to Carlow Live, Anne said 'Painting is one of my main passions in life'.

Ann found inspiration for the collection in nature. 'I love to paint seascapes and landscapes, with turbulence of the sea and the colour of the land as inspiration for my work. I love the outdoors and bringing the colours of nature to my canvas'.

Her new collection of work  “The Colours of our Land & Sea” will be on display at Tramore Coastguard Cultural Centre from Sunday afternoon on the 6th August.
