Carlow's Local Sports Partnership has received €82,000 in funding from Sport Ireland dormant accounts.

This comes as part of a significant €4.86m investment package in dormant accounts funding in local sports partnerships and active disability Ireland from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.

Welcoming the new round of Dormant Account Funding, Local Fianna Fáil TD, Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, said: “I am delighted to welcome this latest round of funding that bring sport and physical activity to those experiencing disadvantage or with disabilities. Funding for dormant accounts has a real impact on individuals in our community here in Carlow and this new round of funding will help support those living with disadvantage or with disabilities in our community to have greater opportunities to participate in activities they have a passion for.”
