Planning permission refused for popular Carlow chipper to add additional residential area

Plans have been refused by local authority for change of use of the first floor storage area of well-known chipper in Carlow Town into residential area.

Golden Grill Carlow is a popular chipper located on Dublin Street in Carlow.

An application for change of use was recently refused by Carlow County Council as the proposed development is contrary to the proper planning and sustainable development of the area. 

The application detailed the change of the existing first floor storage area to residential use with ground floor access, additional external openings and balconies, refuse storage area and all associated site works.
