Carlow Community Policing Unit invited local Transition Year students for a work experience programme, giving them a glimpse into their work.
The secondary schools involved were PDSL Bagenalstown, Borris Vocational School, Colaiste Aindriu, Colaiste Eoin and Tullow Community School. The young students visited the Garda College in Templemore, Carlow District Court and Carlow Garda Station. They also heard from the Roads Policing Unit, Detective Unit, Juvenile Liaison Officer and Drugs Unit.
Superintendent Farrell presented the students with Certs of Achievements after completing the three-day programme. Tullow Community School’s Michael Ryan took home the Perpetual Trophy.
