Delta Sensory Gardens, Carlow
Carlow's Delta Sensory Gardens to appear in Series Two of RTÉ One's TV show 'Home Grown.'
Delta Sensory Gardens will be one of thirty-two Gardens around Ireland to feature in the upcoming Home Grown series.
Home Grown Series 2 starts on RTÉ One with Episode 1 on Wednesday the 14th of February at 8.30pm.
Delta Sensory Gardens are set to feature in Episode 7 on Wednesday the 27th of March, at 8.30pm on RTÉ One.
Mark Boland, Series Producer of 'Home Grown' Series 2 and Director of Scéal Creative Ltd, working on behalf of InProduction TV for RTÉ commented 'We really enjoyed working with everyone in Delta Sensory Gardens on your segment and I must say that I am extremely proud of this series and excited for the Irish gardening public to see the programme.'
Trevor Gillespie, Project Manager of Delta Sensory Gardens said 'We were delighted to hear that the production company were very happy with the outcome, and we are looking forward to watching the series every Wednesday for the next couple of months. We will gather Delta Sensory Garden and Café Thyme staff and Delta employees, management, board members, service users and families together on the 27th of March to enjoy watching our segment in Episode 7.'
'We were extremely fortunate that filming day was one of the few days the sun shone last July and host Kitty Scully, the camera and production crew were extremely professional and supportive of us amateurs in front of a camera,' Trevor commented.
Trevor finished with, 'Put Wednesday the 27th of March at 8.30pm in your diaries for Episode 7 on RTÉ One TV to see how Delta Sensory Gardens has developed and matured as a visitor attraction in Carlow over the last 20+ years.'
