According to timeanddate.com, sunset today will push out as far as 5.30pm in Carlow.

Any morning mist or drizzle will quickly clear today to leave a day of sunshine and a few passing showers, according to Met Éireann.

Maximum temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in fresh and gusty westerly winds.

Clear spells and scattered showers on Sunday night. 

Some of the showers will be wintry with the chance of hail and sleet.

A cold night with frost and ice in parts as lowest temperatures range from -1 to +3 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
