Witnesses sought following burglary at shopping centre in Carlow

Gardai are appealing for information following a burglary incident at a retail unit on the outskirts of Carlow Town.

The culprit entered a premises at Sandhills Shopping Centre, Hacketstown Road, sometime between 11.30pm on Friday, March 8 and 7am on Saturday, March 9.

"Significant damage was caused to the front door of the premises and a window smashed," said a garda spokesperson.

After they gained entry, the culprit stole a small quantity of property from inside the store.

Local detectives are investigating the burglary and they are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area to contact them on 059 9136620.
