'Beautiful, gentle soul' Tributes paid following the death of local Carlow man

Tributes paid following the death of local Carlow man, Fergal Shannon

Tributes have been paid following the death of local Carlow man Fergal Shannon of Barrack Street, Tullow, County Carlow on March 20th, suddenly but peacefully in his residence. 

Sadly missed by his loving parents Tom and Mary, sisters Elaine, Niamh and Aoife, brother-in-law Josh, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and his many friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie, some read:

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Fergal. Such a beautiful, funny, intelligent & gentle soul. Sincere condolences to Mary, Tom, Elaine, Niamh, Aoife and the extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all."

Another said: "My deepest sympathy to Tom & Mary on the loss of your Son Fergal I am truly heartbroken for you both
To Elaine, Niamh & Aoife on the loss of your Brother there are no words I can offer that will come near to how much pain this brings to you only that I know and understand it. May Fergal finally find his peace after his brave battle and his presence will forever live on through you all "

And finally: "Since condolences to all the Shannon family . Heartbreaking. I hope Fergal rests in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at his residence on Saturday from 3 o’c concluding at 7 o’c. House private thereafter please. Funeral arriving to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow, on Sunday for 2 o’c Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow.
