SETU Carlow's Influencer course featured on prime time RTÉ programme

SETU Carlow

Carlow's SETU had a big feature on RTÉ's nationwide this last week with the programme highlighting the brand new influencer course that the unversity has to offer. The first of its kind in Ireland.

Feaured on the programme was the figure head of the new course, Dr Irene McCormick had this to say on the course: "When you think of Gen Z will probably spend about 350 billion on bling products by 2025 and a lot of those products are being funnelled through influencer market and how influencers engage with Gen Zers so we see that it is a real job"

"So even the Economist last magazine, they said even just last year that the tweets or content may be frivolous, but actually the business is not."

A career path that didn't even exist and SETU Carlow look to be ahead of the game with their new offering. The course offers not only a skillset that is required to make content and be proactive on social media but also offers the students the knowledge on how to turn their content and online presence into different revenue streams and make it a fully fledged career.
