Young Social Innovators’ (YSI) nationwide 2024 Speak Out Tour reached Kilkenny recently. Teams from secondary schools, including in County Carlow, took part in the event in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, on 20th March.t
Students from St Leo's College Carlow presented their project titled "Alarm on the Farm".
The emerging change-makers spoke out on a host of topical issues, including mental health issues, inclusion, gender equality, sustainability and fast fashion.
A total of 5,190 second-level students from across Ireland gathered in teams to present 348 positive change projects during the tour.
The YSI Speak Out Tour is supported by Dublin City Council and Cork City Council.
