'A pleasure to have known' Tributes paid for local Carlow woman following her passing

Tributes have been paid following the death of Anne Meaney (née Fennelly) of 48 O’Hanrahan Avenue, Carlow. Anne passed away peacefully at Waterford University Hospital on April 8th 2024.

Much loved wife of Tom, beloved sister of Pat, James, Marie and the late John and cherished daughter of the late Jim and Mary.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Our deepest condolences to Tom & The Fennelly family on the passing of Anne , I had the privilege of working with Anne many moons ago & Anne always had a smile for everyone & a pleasure to have known Anne in my passage through my life ! Anne Rest In Peace"

Another reads: "My deepest sympathy to Tom Pat James and Marie on the sad passing of Ann great friend and neighbour may Ann’s gentle soul rest in peace"

And finally: "We are very saddened to hear of Anns passing , she was a lovely kind and gentle person. Pat James Marie and Tom you are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. Rest in peace Ann."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., (Eircode R93 C863) on Wednesday, April 10th, from 5pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm. Removal on Thursday at 10.30am to The Holy Family Church, Askea, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carlow.
