Declan (Deco) Whelan – 26th April 2024
Tributes have been following the passing of Declan (Deco) Whelan of Ballyleen, Ballon, County Carlow and formerly of Gleenview Park, Tallaght.
Declan passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 26th of April 2024.
Predeceased by his infant son Glen and father Christy. Sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, sons Aaron and Rhys, daughters Jade, Leah and Abbie and their partners, granddaughter Ellie, mother Emily, brother Steven, sister Lorraine, extended family, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "So sorry to hear he's gone, great mate funny too x"
Another reads: "My deepest sympathy Bernie and family on the very sad passing of your beloved Declan. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all. May Declan's gentle soul rest in peace."
A third reads: "My heartfelt condolences to you Bernie and your children on the passing of your beloved husband and father Declan may he r.i.p. and to Declans Mam sister and brother and both extended families may god give you all strength at this really difficult time. Sending you all love and hugs."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Monday evening from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to Saints Peter and Paul Church, Ballon on Tuesday for 11am Requiem Mass followed by Cremation Service in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross at 1.45pm.
