Autumn sunshine
Met Éireann and Carlow have provided their weather forecasts for the day.
Firstly Carlow Weather on X: "Chance of a few showers tomorrow but mainly dry and sunshine increasing later in week with Friday and Saturday looking like cracking days! A lot of uncertain for Sunday and beyond but risk of more unsettled showery weather for Sunday and next week. Enjoy the few fine warm days."
"No it’s not a heatwave but it will get above 20c Friday and Saturday for many areas, however cooler in the South with sea breeze."
Looking then to Met Éireann for their daily updates: "Any mist or fog will clear to leave a dry day, and while it'll be cloudy in many areas, there'll be some bright or sunny spells at times. Highest temperatures of around 14 to 18 or 19 degrees, coolest in southern coastal parts, in mostly light to moderate south to southwest breezes."
This evening from Met Éireann: "
Tonight will be dry with a mix of cloud and some clear spells. Some mist and fog patches will form. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light variable breezes."
And early predictions for tomorrow morning: "Thursday, will be a dry day and while there's still likely to be a good deal of cloud, some good spells of sunshine will develop too, albeit hazy at times in places. Getting warmer, with temperatures a little higher than today's ranging from 16 to 19 or 20 degrees generally, a little lower in southern coastal parts, in mostly light southerly breezes."
