"We have fantastic news in the village today, our beloved Phoenix Centre has been awarded €2.2 million to develop it into the school house community and enterprise centre. A massive thanks to the Carlow County Council who are the lead applicant and the parish of Rathvilly who have been so generous in helping us with our match funding."
"We have a very very hard working committee, a 13 person committee, with local people who have been working on this really hard for the last 4 years. We still have to fundraise, we still have to match funding. So please keep an eye out for fundraiser as the year goes on, and again thanks for to everyone for their support so far and we'll make sure this €2.2 million is well spent on our beloved building."
