Tributes paid for Rathvilly woman 'whose kindness will never be forgotten'

Agnes Smith Corrigan - passed away Sunday 12th May 2024

Tributes have been paid following the death of Agnes Smith Corrigan (née Byrne) of Monavothe, Rathvilly, County Carlow.

Agnes passed away on the 12th of May 2024 peacefully at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Bill. Sadly missed by her loving husband Des, sons John and Lar, daughters Mary, Christina and Ashling, sisters Theresa and Anne, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section on Rip.ie and read as follows: "Heartfelt condolences to Des and all of Aggies wonderful family. A lovely lady and the greatest of neighbour's whose kindness will never be forgotten.
Ar Deis Dé go raibh a hanam."

Another reads: "To Des and all of the family so sorry to hear of the sad passing of Agnes. She was a lovely lady. May she rest in eternal peace."

A third tribute reads: "Agnes rip you where a great lady and so so kind i am going to miss the chat with you what else can I say love you bless your family true this sad time and keep them safe Des you're a great man ."

Funeral Arrangements 

Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly, on Thursday for 11am Requiem Mass after which she will be laid to rest in Rathvilly Cemetery.
