Sean Connolly - 16th May 2024
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Sean Connolly of House Stud, Hollymount, Carlow and formerly of Old Leighlin and Oxford, England.
He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 16th 2024.
Beloved husband of the late Kathleen, much loved father of Maureen, Siobhán, Kathleen and John and adored grandfather of Jordan, Amy, Freya, Anthony, Rían, Sadhbh, Fallon, Anna, Tom and Grace.
He will be sadly missed by his loving son and daughters, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-laws, brothers, sister, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie:
"Rest in Peace Sean. Was a pleasure to work with you and John on the farm while on my
college placement, such a kind and chatty man. Sincere condolences to the Connolly family x."
Another reads: "Sincere condolences to Maureen Siobhan Kathleen John and families also aii the Connolly families, It was with great sadness that we learnt of Sean's passing, He was one of life's gentle gentlemen, a good friend. Rest in peace Sean."
A third tribute reads: "My deepest sympathy to Sean's family on the sad passing of your dad, He was a lovely man and I will miss our chats in Dunnes. May his gentle soul rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at his home Hollymount House Stud, Hollymount, Carlow (Eircode R93 E208) from 2pm on Friday, May 17th, concluding with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Removal on Saturday at 10.30am to St. Abban’s Church, Killeen, Co. Laois (Eircode R93 HK58) arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
