'Heavy showers possible' Met Eireann's weather forecast for Carlow

Met Éireann and Carlow Weather weather have provided their Carlow weather forecast for the day.

Firstly Met Éireann: "Cloudy with rain and drizzle at first this morning, heavy at times. The rain and drizzle will clear later this morning and will be followed by scattered showers and some sunny intervals. A few heavy showers are possible later. Highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate southwest to west wind."

For tonight: "Tonight there will be scattered showers and occasional clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in a light westerly or variable wind."

An early look at tomorrow: "Tomorrow there will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells along with well scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate west to northwest wind."

Then looking to Carlow Weather on X: Rain moving through tonight but clearing Northeast by morning to a mix of bright spells and showers tomorrow but a few showers will be heavy or even thundery. Over 5mm for many areas with highest amounts in North and West."

"A cloudy start for most but a wet one for Ulster with rain clearing Northeast after dropping another 5.6mm at my station bringing monthly total to 105.9mm! Sunny spells will develop through the morning and afternoon but also some heavy scattered showers."
