Carlow man Pádraig Amond wins the SSE Airtricity League Player of the Month Award.
Amond plays as a striker for Waterford who are currently sitting in forth in the Irish league.
He collected the award for May 2024, in which time the Carlow man scored 4 and registered 1 assist in 5 games.
This included his hat trick against Drogheda United to seal an impressive 4-2 victory after his side were 2-0 to start the second half.
Pádriag took to his X account to react to the award:
"Delighted to have been announced as the League of Ireland Player of the Month for May. Could have easily been 3/4 of my teammates after the month we had as they have all been exceptional not only in May but in the first half of the season also. Roll on the rest of the season."
