Tributes paid to ' a lovely man and a great neighbour' following his passing

Leo Brennan - Monday 5th August 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Leo Brennan of Monacurragh, Carlow (Coal Merchant).

Leo passed away surrounded by his son and daughter in his 92nd year in the gentle care of Hillview Nursing Home.

Beloved husband of the late Mary and dear father of Nicola and Cathal. Sadly missed by his loving son, daughter, sister Vronnie, daughter-in-law Mag, grandsons Ben and Oisín, brother-in-law Sonnie, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his many loyal customers and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Nicola Cathal and all the family. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of Leo. May he rest in eternal peace. Such a lovely man and a great neighbour.
God grant you all great courage and consolation at this sad and difficult time."

Another reads: "Sincere condolences to you Nicola and Cathal on the passing of your father Leo. Himself and Mary were lovely neighbours down through the years. May he rest in peace."

A third user writes: "Sincere condolences to Cathal and family on the sad passing of your dad Leo, may his gentle soul Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Wednesday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in Holy Family Church, Askea. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
