Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees
Met Éireann and Carlow Weather have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas for the day and things look to be improving, at least for today!
Firstly looking Carlow Weather on X: "A wet start but rain will clear East later this morning with sunny spells following."

"Cloud and rain clearing with sunny spells in Western areas already. Just 8.9mm at my station near Tullow but over 30mm in last 24 hours in parts of Southwest. Too much rain for many but too little for a few."
Looking then to Met Éireann: "A wet start today with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times. Rain will clear through the late morning and early afternoon. The rest of the day will be mostly dry with sunshine and just a few isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, with light to moderate southwesterly winds."
This evening: "Clear spells early on, with the possibility of showers developing later on in the night. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southwest winds."
An early look to tomorrow: "Sunny spells and scattered showers, becoming frequent during the afternoon, some turning heavy with the chance of thunder. Highest temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds."
