The homecoming took place on Sunday the 1st of September in Myshall, County Carlow.

From the Myshall News Facebook page:

"MYSHALL HONOURS ITS WORLD PLOUGHING CHAMPION - First came the piper, then the tractor parade followed by the Street Walk and finally the congratulations on the outdoor stage. Well done to all the speakers but particularly to Eamon Tracey himself not just for his achievements but for his comments. Eamon said he has stood on many platforms but the one tonight meant everything to him, to bring a world title back and stand in front of his home crowd - his family, his friends, his neighbours, the people he played GAA with - that is the greatest platform of all! Six world titles and three in a row - What a man."

The comments under the post showed their support and appreciation to the local legend:

"Lovely evening delighted to see so many people out to celebrate with Eamonn and the Carlow Ploughing."

Another reads: "Congratulations Eamon. A very special one for you."
