Tributes have been paid following the passing of Ciss (Sarah) Carpenter, (née Whitty) of Carpenters, Barrack St, Carlow and formerly of Island, Craanford, Co Wexford
Ciss passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 14th 2024.

Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy, daughter Lee, son-in-law Dan, grandson Simon and brothers Peter, Paddy and Tom.
Much loved mother of Anne, Eleanor, Marie, Patrick , Nicky, Mogue and Marc and treasured grandmother of Shane, Molly, Finn, Anna, Una, Liam, Annik, Emily, Jane and Conor.
She will be sadly missed by her loving sons , daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Brian and Bernard, daughters-in-law Linda and Marguerita, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and her many good friends .
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Deepest condolences to the Carpenter and Whitty families on the very sad passing of Ciss. She was a truly remarkable woman, so kind, caring, compassionate and generous to all. She was an absolute treasure and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this heartbreaking time. May her gentle soul rest in peace."
Another reads: "Matt. and Mary Doyle would like to offer our condolence on the passing of Ciss.
She was a lovely person and a pleasure to deal with her over the years

Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Thursday, September 12th, from 2pm until 8pm, with Prayers at 6.45pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10am in The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow and will be followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow
