Carlow County Council have received a planning application for extensive works to take place at a wastewater treatment plant in County Carlow.
The planning application was received by the Carlow County Council on the 18th of October 2024 and was submitted by Usice Éireann Ltd.
The works proposed are as follows:
The development at Tinryland Wastewater Treament Plant along the Nurney Road, L1023 and N80 and Carlow Town, Ballinacarrig within the townlands of Tinryland, Kilmeany, Chapelstown, Staplestown and Ballinacarrig, County Carlow.
Development will consist of the demolition of all existing structures within the Tinryland Wastewater Treatment Plant and the construction on an extended site which will consist of a new pumping station, ground storm tank, replacement welfare facility, ground mounted photovoltaic array, new palisade permieter fencing and associated works.
The construction of a new rising main and gravity main along Nurney Road, L1203 and N80, connection to existing wastewater sewer at Ballinacarrig.
Decision about the planning permission is set to be made by the Carlow County Council on the 12th of December 2024.
