WHAT'S ON: Actor popular for work in Love/Hate is bringing acting class to Carlow

Irish actor, director, and writer, known for his work on Love/Hate and Cardboard Gangsters, Jimmy Smallhorne is bring an acting class for adults to County Carlow.

The classes at set to take place on Monday evenings in Askea Parish Centre starting on November 4th and the course fee is €95.

A new 5 week acting class for adults in Carlow will this November 4th with actor, writer, and director Jimmy Smallhorne. Known for his TV work on Love/Hate, Cardboard Gangsters, Taken Down and Dead Still, Jimmy is the writer of the Hollywood film The Miracle Club staring Kathy Bates, Laura Linney and the late great Maggie Smith.

Though a resident in Carlow Town, Jimmy spent over twenty years in New York and has directed for off-Broadway as well as winning Sundance with his film 2by4. Using improvisational games and techniques, scene work from films and plays, the aim will be to have a fun-filled evening that will be suitable form the absolute beginner to those with more experience.
