Tributes paid to local Carlow woman who was a 'lovely lady' following her passing

Ellen GLYNN (née Moran) - Friday 8th November 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Ellen Glynn (née Moran) of New Oak Estate, Carlow.

Ellen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the 8th of November 2024 in 106th year.

Beloved wife of the late Johnny, much loved mother of Mary, Mikey and Kathleen and adored grandmother of Karina, Kenneth, Jacqueline, Cliona, Michelle, Aideen, Dermot and Orla.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Sean and John, daughter-in-law Lilly, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"So sorry to hear of Mrs Glynns passing. What a lovely lady she was. Suaimhneas dè uirthi x"

Another reads:

"Sincere condolences to Kathleen and Sean, and the extended Glynn family on the sad passing of Ellen, may her gentle soul Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, (Eircode R93 C863) on Saturday, November 9th, from 3pm, concluding with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Removal on Sunday at 12.15pm to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna, (via her residence) arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
