SETU campus in Carlow apply for planning permission for 241 car parks and additional works

Carlow County Council have received a planning application from SETU for a number of works to take place on the Kilkenny Road Campus in Carlow.

Carlow County Council received the planning application on the 4th of December 2024 with a decision date set for the 6th February 2025.

The proposed works in the planning application read as follows:

The development will consist of a new access arrangement including new internal road (which connects to a new signal controlled junction on the R448 Kilkenny Road to be constructed as part of the Carlow to SETU Pedestrian & Cycle Active Travel Scheme), additional car parking for 241 cars, footpaths, bicycle paths, street lighting, general lighting, landscaping, entrance walls and entrance gates. This application includes for all site signage, utility connection works and ancillary site works associated with the project.

Once the decision has been made by the Carlow County Council on the 6th of February 2025 and the decision can be found on Carlow Live.
