Planning decision made on Carlow Funeral Home changing part of premises to apartments

Carlow Town funeral home seeking planning permission for change of business premises to apartments

Carlow County Council have made a decision on a planning application for the change of use of the first floor level of a Carlow Town Funeral home into apartments.

Carlow County Council has provided conditional approval for the planning application on the 2nd of December 2024. 

Carpenter Brothers Ltd. has submitted a planning application to the Carlow County Council on the 8th of October 2024 with a decision date set for the 2nd of December 2024.

In 2019, Carpenters Funeral Home were granted planning permission by local authorities to move premises to the previously A-Z House on Barrack Street, Carlow, which has since become the current location for the funeral home.

The proposed works in the planning application read as follows:

Permission for change of use of first floor of existing commercial building to 2-bed apartment at Barrack Street, Carlow, R93 C6R2.

Carlow County Council have provided the planning permission based on 10 conditions, more information can be found on the Carlow County Council planning website or through the link HERE.
